Sep-11-2025

Crude oil futures settled higher on Wednesday amid geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and Europe along with inflation data from the US that has reinforced interest rate cut expectations. Traders raised concerns over intensifying tension in middle east following Isreal’s attack on Katar’s capital Doha. Besides, a private report said that US President Donald Trump has called for the EU nations to slap tariffs up to 100% on India and China, major importers of Russian oil.

Benchmark crude oil futures for October gained $1.04 or 1.66% at $63.67 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for November delivery rose $1.10 or 1.66% to settle at $67.49 a barrel on London's Intercontinental Exchange.
