Copper futures settle down on Tuesday
Nov-04-2026

Copper futures settled lower on Tuesday amid uncertainty surrounding the outcome of the US midterm elections. Moreover, concerns about the returns on artificial intelligence (AI) spending added further pressure on copper prices. However, continuing signs of tight supplies in China limited the losses.

Copper futures for December delivery fell $0.1655 to settle at $6.4020 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was down by 2.15% at $14,036 a ton.
