Can clearly see that their defeat is certain: Annapurna Devi slams INDIA alliance over 'Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhodd' slogan
Sep-03-2025

Union Minister Annapurna Devi slammed the INDIA bloc’s 'Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhodd' slogan, stating that the opposition has failed to provide evidence to support their claims of electoral irregularities.

Speaking to the media, Annapurna Devi said, ‘They (the INDIA alliance) could not present any proofs when they were called by the Election Commission. The issue is not SIR, but the INDI alliance can clearly see that their defeat is certain. The people of Bihar have decided to form an NDA government.’

Earlier on Tuesday, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Manoj Jha said the recently concluded Voter Adhikar Yatra was not just a campaign, but that its message reached every corner of Bihar, with the slogan ‘Vote chor, gaddi chhodd’ echoing everywhere. Jha also highlighted the significance of voter rights and transparent electoral processes in the state.

The 16-day yatra, spearheaded by Rahul Gandhi highlighted allegations of ‘vote chori' (vote theft) by the BJP and discrepancies in the electoral rolls maintained by the Election Commission of India. Starting from Sasaram on August 17, the campaign covered 25 districts, seeking to raise awareness against electoral malpractice and mobilise support to ensure that people's voices are respected.

On the concluding day of the Voter Adhikar Yatra in Patna, Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders Yusuf Pathan and Lalitesh Pati Tripathi, Shiv Sena UBT MP Sanjay Raut, have joined the rally. Several other INDIA bloc leaders also participated at various points.
