Indian rupee weakens against US dollar on Monday
Nov-02-2026

Indian rupee has weakened against US dollar on Monday amid decline in India’s forex reserves to $719.748 billion during the week ended October 30. Market participants also over looked fall in crude oil prices and capital inflows from foreign institutional investors (FIIs), who bought securities worth Rs 3,598.54 crore on Friday. Further, the Brent crude oil prices fell nearly 4% to trade at $109 a barrel levels following reports of diplomatic efforts from Iran and Qatar to restart negotiations between US and Iran. On the global front, euro has strengthened against the US dollar on Monday as fall in crude oil prices eased concerns over rising inflation.

Finally, the rupee ended at 94.84 (Provisional), weakened by 8 paise from its previous close of 94.76 on Friday. The currency touched a high and low of 95.04 and 94.70 respectively.
