Markets trade in fine fettle in early deals on Wednesday
Nov-04-2026

Indian equity markets made a negative start on Wednesday amid weak cues from other Asian markets. However, both Sensex and Nifty recovered from their early lows and were trading over half a per cent higher in early deals, supported by buying from funds and retail investors. Sentiments got boost as crude oil prices fell, with market participants hoping that the U.S. and Iran would reach a diplomatic settlement to the conflict that has disrupted global energy supplies for eight months. Besides, support also came in as foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net buyers of Rs 6,836.81 crore in Indian equities on November 3, 2026.

Meanwhile, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has eased reporting requirements for small service exporters and importers, including relaxing rules for filing export declarations. The RBI notified the changes through the Foreign Exchange Management (Export and Import of Goods and Services) (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2026. The revised norms have come into effect retrospectively from October 1.

Under the amended regulations, individual service exporters will be deemed to have submitted the Export Declaration Form (EDF) once they provide the required payment-related information to their authorised dealer bank for crediting the proceeds to their accounts. For exporters other than resident individuals, the same facility will apply if the inward remittance for the service is not more than Rs 10 lakh or its equivalent in foreign currency.

The RBI has also eased reporting requirements for imports of services under the Import Data Processing and Monitoring System (IDPMS) subject to certain conditions. Under the revised rules, authorised dealer banks will be required to enter details of service imports in the IDPMS within five working days of receiving the information only in cases where the importer is not a resident individual and the invoice or contract value exceeds Rs 10 lakh, or its equivalent in foreign currency.
